The Banker magazine has selected The Saudi British Bank (SABB), as the "Bank of the Year" in Saudi Arabia. Majed Najm, GM of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at SABB, received the award at the Banker magazine’s awards ceremony event in London. The award is one of the most coveted acknowledgements of achievements in the global financial services industry.
The awards were created in an effort to reward and promote industry-wide excellence in the banking sector. The Banker magazine awarded SABB for its impressive growth levels and the strength of its balance sheet in the past 12 months. The magazine’s judging panel decision comes as testament to the strong management, sound business model, prudent risk approach and good execution of strategy at SABB.
Commenting on the award, Mr David Dew, the Managing Director of SABB, said "We are delighted with the recognition offered by The Banker magazine, and with our overall performance in 2013. We will continue to seek higher levels of achievement in an effort to provide the best customer experience in the financial services industry."
